The United States hasn't seen a total solar eclipse since 1979, and Columbia, SC will be a prime location to see the upcoming eclipse on August 21, 2017. Columbia will experience 2 minutes and 36 seconds of totality, one of the longest amounts in the nation for seeing the sun completely eclipsed.
Join us for the Total Eclipse Tailgate at the South Carolina State Fair with WLTX! As one of only a few places with an unobstructed view of the Eclipse, the fairgrounds is the place to be. So, come tailgate at the fairgrounds for this historic event! Not to mention, we will also have:

A limited number of eclipse-safe viewing "glasses" have been made available to the event by the people of the city of Columbia.
