Service Animals are welcome throughout the facility. Pets are not permitted.
What is a service animal?
A dog or miniature horse individually trained to help someone with a disability. Emotional support animals are not service animals.
Do I need proof that my animal is a service animal?
No. You don’t need proof that your animal is a service animal, and you don’t need to describe your disability. We may ask the following questions:
- Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?
- What work or task(s) was the service animal trained to do?
Can my service animal go on rides?
We do not currently allow service animals on rides.
Guests with a state disability placard or license plate may park in the designated parking area in the Lexington Medical Center Fair Park on a first-come, first-serve basis. Entry to the Lexington Medical Center Fair Park is through Gate 6 on George Rogers Blvd. or Gate 10 on Bluff Rd. Drivers who wish to drop off a rider before parking their vehicle are kindly requested to notify a parking attendant, who will provide them with proper directions.
Drivers are welcome to drop off passengers at the North Gate on Rosewood Drive, just beyond Gate 1 (near the rocket). While parking is not allowed in this area, drivers may pull up to the gate for a convenient drop-off.
ADA accessible ticket booths are available at both the North and South gates.
Wheelchair accessible stalls, built to accommodate mobility aids, are located throughout the fairgrounds. In addition, the Goodman building has a family restroom large enough to accommodate a guest in a wheelchair accompanied by an attendant.
A first aid facility is located in the Heath Building near the rocket.
Dedicated areas for guests with disabilities are set up for events at the Pepsi Place Stage. The space is available on a first-come, first-seated basis.
In accordance with ADA statutes, any differently abled individual may ride any carnival ride, providing that the individual can enter and exit without the assistance of the ride operator.
Information regarding accommodations for persons with disabilities is available at Guest Services located in the Heath Building near the rocket.
