Cajun Chef Scott Landry is fresh out of the bayous of Louisiana. When you come to Chef Landry’s Comedy Cooking Show, you’ll enjoy mouth-watering cuisine with Chef Landry’s added ingredients.
There’s nothing more enjoyable than an evening of laughter served with great food. Chef Scott Landry has taken his show featuring Cajun cooking to over one hundred thousand enthusiastic hungry fans from small intimate corporate settings to large gatherings at fairs and festivals around the country. We are thrilled to have him visit the South Carolina State Fair.
Chef Landry will be cooking with chicken from the “Best Dressed Chicken“. No Antibiotics Ever and raised right down the road, The Best Dressed Chicken is a grocery store pickup that you can feel good about!
PHILIP SIMMONS BLACKSMITH GUILD
Oct. 11-13 on Academic Avenue.
The Philip Simmons Blacksmith Guild was formed exclusively for educational purposes to encourage and facilitate the training of blacksmiths. The group disseminates information about sources of material and equipment, exposes the art of blacksmithing and serves as a resource for all who are interested in the craft. Guild members participate in several events throughout the year, such as Ashley on the River at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston and the Renaissance Fair in Myrtle Beach.

SOUTH CAROLINA ETV AND PUBLIC RADIO SHOWCASE
Located in the Ellison Building
Visit the SCETV booth at the 2024 South Carolina State Fair for fun and interactive experiences! Join the Smart Cat Scavenger Hunt to explore the fair and win a special keepsake. Share your personal stories at the “Your Stories, Your SCETV” booth for a chance to be featured on SCETV. Kids can grab free books and enjoy activities at the book nook. Discover South Carolina’s rich culture at the SCETV Content Showcase, and meet Amanda McNulty from “Making It Grow” for gardening tips. Plus, learn about SCETV’s programming and take home some SCETV swag!
ERNEST LEE (“THE CHICKEN MAN”)

Street artist and Columbia legend Ernest Lee will be selling his popular chicken paintings as well as other pieces at this year’s S.C. State Fair. While Lee is widely known for his chicken paintings, his works also include ocean scenes, nature scenes, fish, pets, palmetto trees, portraits – and just whatever comes out of his head.

AMERICAN TRIBUTE
The S.C. State Fair will take a moment to pay tribute to America and honor those who have and are serving the country. Every day at noon, the American flag will be raised on the main flagpole outside the Cantey Building near the South Gate and the National Anthem will be played across the public address system. Occasionally, there will be a special guest that will sing or raise the flag.

PAALS (Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services) is coming to the South Carolina State Fair! The corporate mission of Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services is to enrich and empower children and adults with physical, intellectual and emotional disabilities by training service animals and providing animal assisted educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities.
